SGK1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein serum/glucocorticoid regulated kinase 1, which is encoded by the SGK1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a serine/threonine-protein kinase, which is involved in the regulation of a wide variety of ion channels, membrane transporters, cellular enzymes, transcription factors, neuronal excitability, cell growth, proliferation, survival, migration and apoptosis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 431 residues, a mass of 48.9 kDa, and is a member of the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in most tissues with highest levels in the pancreas, followed by placenta, kidney and lung. As many as 5 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include serine/threonine-protein kinase Sgk1, serine/threonine protein kinase SGK, and SGK.
There are SGK1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 500 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
