FMO3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein flavin containing dimethylaniline monoxygenase 3, which is encoded by the FMO3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be an important hepatic enzyme that catalyzes the oxygenation of a wide variety of nitrogen- and sulfur-containing compounds including drugs as well as dietary compounds. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 532 residues, a mass of 60 kDa, and is a member of the FMO protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is notably expressed in the liver. The FMO3 gene has been associated with the disease, Trimethylaminuria.
