MPP6 is an alias of the human PALS2 gene, which encodes the protein, protein associated with LIN7 2, MAGUK p55 family member. Notably, MPP6 is known to play a role in the assembly of protein complexes, among other functions. The PALS2 protein is described to be 540 amino acid residues in length and 61.1 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in testis, brain, and kidney with lower levels detectable in other tissues.
