PRIM1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein DNA primase subunit 1, which is encoded by the PRIM1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known catalytic subunit of the DNA primase complex and component of the DNA polymerase alpha complex (also known as the alpha DNA polymerase-primase complex - primosome/replisome) which play an essential role in the initiation of DNA synthesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 420 residues, a mass of 49.9 kDa, and is a member of the Eukaryotic-type primase small subunit protein family. The PRIM1 gene has been associated with the disease, Primordial dwarfism-immunodeficiency-lipodystrophy syndrome. Other alias names for this target include p49, DNA primase small subunit, DNA primase 1, DNA primase 49 kDa subunit, DNA primase subunit 48, and PDIL.
Some PRIM1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
