MREG ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein melanoregulin, which is encoded by the MREG gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is suspected to be functions as cargo-recognition protein that couples cytoplasmic vesicles to the transport machinery. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 214 residues, a mass of 24.9 kDa, and is a member of the Melanoregulin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in photoreceptor cells. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally palmitoylated. Other alias names for this target include dilute suppressor protein homolog and whn-dependent transcript 2.
Some MREG ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
