OAS1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase 1, which is encoded by the OAS1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in viral immune response and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 400 residues, a mass of 46 kDa, and is a member of the 2-5A synthase protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, cytoplasm, and is secreted and is reported to be expressed in the lungs. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The OAS1 gene has been associated with the disease, Immunodeficiency 100 with pulmonary alveolar proteinosis and hypogammaglobulinemia. Other alias names for this target include IFI-4, IMD100, OIAS, OIASI, 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 1, and E18/E16.
Some OAS1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 300 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
