GM2A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ganglioside GM2 activator, which is encoded by the GM2A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 193 residues and a mass of 20.8 kDa. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The GM2A gene has been associated with the disease, GM2-gangliosidosis AB. Other alias names for this target include GM2AP, SAP-3, GM2 ganglioside activator, GM2-activator protein, cerebroside sulfate activator protein, and GM2-AP.
There are GM2A ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 10 ng/L and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
