PYCARD ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein PYD and CARD domain containing, which is encoded by the PYCARD gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to function as key mediator in apoptosis and inflammation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 195 residues and a mass of 21.6 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm and is found to be widely expressed at low levels. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated.
