SSTR2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein somatostatin receptor 2, which is encoded by the SSTR2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known receptor for somatostatin-14 and -28. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 369 residues, a mass of 41.3 kDa, and is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in both pancreatic alpha- and beta-cells. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated and glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include somatostatin receptor type 2, SRIF-1, SS2R, and SST2.
Some SSTR2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.625 pg/mL and as high as 150 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
