These VEGF-D ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of VEGF-D in biological samples. VEGF-D is an alias name of the human VEGFD gene, which encodes the protein, vascular endothelial growth factor D. Notably, VEGF-D is known to play a role in neuronal differentiation and the regulation of angiogenesis, among other functions. The VEGFD protein is described to be 354 amino acid residues in length and 40.4 kilodaltons in mass. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in the lung, heart, small intestine and fetal lung, and at lower levels in skeletal muscle, colon, and pancreas. This protein is known to be cleaved and glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include FIGF and c-fos induced growth factor (vascular endothelial growth factor D).
