LY6K ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein lymphocyte antigen 6 family member K, which is encoded by the LY6K gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be required for sperm migration into the oviduct and male fertility by controlling binding of sperm to zona pellucida (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 165 residues and a mass of 18.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, cytoplasm, and is secreted and is notably expressed in testis. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include HSJ001348, URLC10, lymphocyte antigen 6K, cancer/testis antigen 97, lymphocyte antigen 6 complex, locus K, and CT97.
The detection range for different LY6K ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15.625 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
