Ready-to-use ELISA kits are available for the detection of sFlt1, an alias of the protein, fms related tyrosine kinase 1. The official gene symbol is FLT1. The kits can detect several species variants of the protein, including: human and mouse. The protein, with a mass of 150.8 kDa and length of 1338 residues, is reported to be cytoplasmic, membrane-associated and secreted. It is a member of the Protein kinase superfamily, Tyr protein kinase family, CSF-1/PDGF receptor subfamily and may be known by other names, including: FLT, vascular permeability factor receptor, tyrosine-protein kinase FRT, fms-like tyrosine kinase 1, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1, and VEGFR-1.
