Its subcellular location is known to be in the cytoplasm. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally acetylated. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Glioma. This protein may also be known as HEL-S-26, IDCD, IDH, IDP, IDPC, PICD, isocitrate dehydrogenase [NADP] cytoplasmic, and HEL-216.
