The following S-Phase Kinase Associated Protein 2 ELISA kits are useful research tools for the measurement of S-phase kinase associated protein 2 in biological samples. In humans this protein is encoded by the SKP2 gene. This protein is reported to be a substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins involved in cell cycle progression, signal transduction and transcription. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 424 residues and a mass of 47.8 kDa. Its subcellular location is known to be in the nucleus and cytoplasm. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally ubiquitinated, acetylated and cleaved. This protein may also be known as FBXL1, FLB1, p45, CDK2/cyclin A-associated protein p45, F-box/LRR-repeat protein 1, and FBL1.
The detection range for different S-Phase Kinase Associated Protein 2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.15 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL.
