PGLYRP3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein peptidoglycan recognition protein 3, which is encoded by the PGLYRP3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 341 residues, a mass of 37.6 kDa, and is a member of the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 protein family. It is known to be secreted and is notably expressed in skin epidermis, eccrine sweat glands and ducts, ciliary body epithelial cells of the eye, in small intestine, colon, stomach and in mature epithelial cells of the tongue. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include peptidoglycan recognition protein I alpha and peptidoglycan recognition protein intermediate alpha.
The detection range for different PGLYRP3 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.1 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
