SCGB2A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein secretoglobin family 2A member 1, which is encoded by the SCGB2A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to bind androgens and other steroids, may also bind estramustine, a chemotherapeutic agent used for prostate cancer. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 95 residues, a mass of 10.9 kDa, and is a member of the Secretoglobin protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be expressed in thymus, trachea, kidney, steroid responsive tissues (prostate, testis, uterus, breast and ovary) and salivary gland. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include LPNC, MGB2, UGB3, mammaglobin-B, lacryglobin, lipophilin C, mammaglobin-2, and LPHC.
The detection range for different SCGB2A1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
