MCOLN1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein mucolipin TRP cation channel 1, which is encoded by the MCOLN1 gene in humans. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 580 residues, a mass of 65 kDa, and is a member of the Transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and cell membrane and is found to be widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated, palmitoylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. The MCOLN1 gene has been associated with the disease, Mucolipidosis.
