SIGLEC6 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 6, which is encoded by the SIGLEC6 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to be an adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 453 residues, a mass of 49.9 kDa, and is a member of the SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted and is notably expressed at high levels in placenta (cyto- and syncytiotrophoblastic cells) and at lower levels in spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes (predominantly B-cells) and small intestine. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include CD33L, CD33L1, CD33L2, CDW327, OBBP1, CD33 antigen-like 1, obesity-binding protein 1, and CD327.
The detection range for different SIGLEC6 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 125 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
