The following Presenilin 1 ELISA kits are useful research tools for the measurement of presenilin 1 in biological samples. In humans this protein is encoded by the PSEN1 gene. This protein is a known catalytic subunit of the gamma-secretase complex, an endoprotease complex that catalyzes the intramembrane cleavage of integral membrane proteins such as Notch receptors and APP (amyloid-beta precursor protein). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 467 residues, a mass of 52.7 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase A22A protein family. It is notably expressed in azurophile granules in neutrophils and in platelet cytoplasmic granules. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally cleaved and phosphorylated. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Alzheimer disease. This protein may also be known as ACNINV3 and AD3.
Some Presenilin 1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.61 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Use the search filters to narrow your search and click on the ELISA kits below for more detailed information, such as reactivity and assay sensitivity.
