These TDP43 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of TDP43 in biological samples. TDP43 is an alias of the human TARDBP gene, which encodes the protein, TAR DNA binding protein. Notably, TDP43 is known to play a role in mRNA processing and the regulation of gene expression, among other functions. The TARDBP protein is 414 amino acid residues in length and 44.7 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include ALS10 and TAR DNA-binding protein 43.
The detection range for different TDP43 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 4.69 pg/mL and as high as 400 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
