MLIP ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein muscular LMNA interacting protein, which is encoded by the MLIP gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be required for myoblast differentiation into myotubes, possibly acting as a transcriptional regulator of the myogenic program (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 993 residues and a mass of 105.9 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm and is reported to be highly expressed in the the heart and skeletal muscle. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The MLIP gene has been associated with the disease, Myopathy with myalgia, increased serum creatine kinase, and with or without episodic rhabdomyolysis. Other alias names for this target include muscle-enriched A-type lamin interacting protein, muscular-enriched A-type laminin-interacting protein, and cardiac ISL1-interacting protein.
Some MLIP ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 5000 pg/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
