SLC27A4 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein solute carrier family 27 member 4, which is encoded by the SLC27A4 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to mediate the levels of long-chain fatty acids (LCFA) in the cell by facilitating their transport across cell membranes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 643 residues, a mass of 72.1 kDa, and is a member of the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is reported be expressed at highest levels in the brain, testis, colon and kidney. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The SLC27A4 gene has been associated with the disease, Ichthyosis prematurity syndrome. Other alias names for this target include FATP4, IPS, long-chain fatty acid transport protein 4, acyl-CoA synthetase very long chain family member 4, and ACSVL4.
There are SLC27A4 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
