ATP2A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATPase sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ transporting 1, which is encoded by the ATP2A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported key regulator of striated muscle performance by acting as the major Ca(2+) ATPase responsible for the reuptake of cytosolic Ca(2+) into the sarcoplasmic reticulum. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1001 residues, a mass of 110.3 kDa, and is a member of the Cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The ATP2A1 gene has been associated with the disease, Brody disease. Other alias names for this target include SERCA1, sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 1, ATPase, Ca++ transporting, cardiac muscle, fast twitch 1, SR Ca(2+)-ATPase 1, calcium pump 1, and ATP2A.
Some ATP2A1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 10 ng/L and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
