ARSK ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein arylsulfatase family member K, which is encoded by the ARSK gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the hydrolysis of pseudosubstrates such as p-nitrocatechol sulfate and p-nitrophenyl sulfate. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 536 residues, a mass of 61.5 kDa, and is a member of the Sulfatase protein family. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes and is secreted and is notably expressed at high levels in the placenta and pancreas. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated and cleaved. The ARSK gene has been associated with the disease, Mucopolysaccharidosis. Other alias names for this target include ASK, glucuronate-2-sulfatase, telethon sulfatase, and arylsulfatase K.
