PECAM1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein platelet and endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1, which is encoded by the PECAM1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in receptor-mediated signaling pathways and cell adhesion. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 738 residues and a mass of 82.5 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is noted to be expressed on platelets and leukocytes and is primarily concentrated at the borders between endothelial cells. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated, palmitoylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include CD31/EndoCAM, GPIIA', PECA1, endoCAM, platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule, and CD31.
Some PECAM1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 3.12 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
