PROM1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein prominin 1, which is encoded by the PROM1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to play a role in cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 865 residues, a mass of 97.2 kDa, and is a member of the Prominin protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and cell membrane. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated and acetylated. The PROM1 gene has been associated with the disease, Retinitis pigmentosa. Other alias names for this target include CD133, CORD12, MCDR2, MSTP061, PROML1, RP41, STGD4, and AC133.
There are PROM1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.1 ng/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
