Its subcellular location is known to be in the cytoplasm. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Microcephaly, facial dysmorphism, renal agenesis, and ambiguous genitalia syndrome. This protein may also be known as cytoplasmic tRNA 2-thiolation protein 2 and cytosolic thiouridylase subunit 2 homolog.

It works well and doesnt tag the mutant protein, but it does require a high concentration. This might be due to low protein abundance however.
