CD86 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein CD86 molecule, which is encoded by the CD86 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known receptor involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte proliferation and interleukin-2 production, by binding CD28 or CTLA-4. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 329 residues and a mass of 37.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is noted to be expressed by activated B-lymphocytes and monocytes. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include B7.2, B70, CD28LG2, LAB72, T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD86, B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-2, BU63, and B7-2.
Some CD86 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 3.13 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
