The CX43 ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of CX43 in various samples. CX43 is an alternative name for the human GJA1 gene, which encodes the protein, gap junction protein alpha 1. It has been mentioned that CX43 plays a role in bone development and cell to cell signaling, among other functions. Structurally, the GJA1 protein is described to be 382 amino acid residues in length and 43 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in the heart and fetal cochlea. This protein is known to be sumoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include AVSD3 and CMDR.
Some CX43 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
