These 15-PGDH ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of 15-PGDH in biological samples. 15-PGDH is an alias of the human HPGD gene, which encodes the protein, 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase. Notably, 15-PGDH is known to play a role in kidney development and the regulation of apoptosis, among other functions. The HPGD protein is 266 amino acid residues in length and 29 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 5 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in colon epithelium. Other names for this target antigen include PGDH.
