Its subcellular location is known to be in the cell membrane. In certain instances, it is also post-translationally phosphorylated and glycosylated. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Curry-Jones syndrome. This protein may also be known as FZD11, Gx, PHLS, SMOH, protein smoothened, smoothened homolog, frizzled family member 11, and CRJS.
