The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 312 residues, a mass of 34.3 kDa, and is a member of the Short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is reported to be expressed in most tissues tested. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported.
