The Cytokeratin 13 ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of Cytokeratin 13 in various samples. Cytokeratin 13 is an alternative name for the human KRT13 gene, which encodes the protein, keratin 13. It has been mentioned that Cytokeratin 13 plays a role in cytoskeleton organization and epithelial cell differentiation, among other functions. Structurally, the KRT13 protein is 458 amino acid residues in length and 49.6 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in some epidermal sweat gland ducts and in exocervix, esophagus and placenta. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include CK13, CK13, and K13.
Some Cytokeratin 13 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
