P2RX7 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein purinergic receptor P2X 7, which is encoded by the P2RX7 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known receptor for ATP that acts as a ligand-gated ion channel. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 595 residues, a mass of 68.6 kDa, and is a member of the P2X receptor protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the brain and immune tissues. As many as 8 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated, palmitoylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include P2X purinoceptor 7, ATP receptor, P2X7 receptor, P2Z receptor, purinergic receptor P2X, ligand gated ion channel, 7, and P2X7.
The detection range for different P2RX7 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
