BRD8 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein bromodomain containing 8, which is encoded by the BRD8 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to act as a coactivator during transcriptional activation by hormone-activated nuclear receptors (NR). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 1235 residues and a mass of 135.3 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be expressed in adipose tissue, brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta and skeletal muscle. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include SMAP2, p120, bromodomain-containing protein 8, skeletal muscle abundant protein 2, thyroid hormone receptor coactivating protein of 120 kDa, and SMAP.
There are BRD8 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
