Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cell differentiation and nervous system development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 119 residues and a mass of 13 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is noted to be expressed abundantly in the lung, kidney and adrenal gland, but not in adult brain.
