These 5LO ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of 5LO in biological samples. 5LO is an alias of the human ALOX5 gene, which encodes the protein, arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase. Notably, 5LO is known to play a role in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the regulation of angiogenesis, among other functions. The ALOX5 protein is 674 amino acid residues in length and 78 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 5 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell. This protein is known to be phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include 5-LOX.
Some 5LO ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
