Anti-PFKX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PFKX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PFKM gene, which encodes phosphofructokinase, muscle. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of PFKX has a canonical amino acid length of 780 residues and a protein mass of 85.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include ATP-PFK, GSD7, and PFK-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the PFKX antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
