Anti-ADMP-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADMP-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADAMTS4 gene, which encodes ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 4. This protein is known to function in extracellular matrix organization and proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of ADMP-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 837 residues and a protein mass of 90.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells. Other names for this target antigen include ADAMTS-2 and ADMP-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the ADMP-1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
