Anti-LPLUNC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LPLUNC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BPIFB1 gene, which encodes BPI fold containing family B member 1. This protein is believed to play a role in innate immunity in mouth, nose and lungs. The human version of LPLUNC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 484 residues and a protein mass of 52.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the small intestine, nasopharynx, duodenum, cervix, and bronchus. LPLUNC1 is a member of the Plunc protein family.
