Anti-DHDH antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dihydrodiol dehydrogenase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 334 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.4 kDa. It is notably expressed in the duodenum and small intestine. It is a member of the Gfo/Idh/MocA protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include HUM2DD, trans-1,2-dihydrobenzene-1,2-diol dehydrogenase, 3-deoxyglucosone reductase, D-xylose 1-dehydrogenase, D-xylose-NADP dehydrogenase, and 2DD. DHDH gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the DHDH antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
