Anti-DHS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DHS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DHPS gene, which encodes deoxyhypusine synthase. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of DHS has a canonical amino acid length of 369 residues and a protein mass of 41 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and bronchus. DHS is a member of the Deoxyhypusine synthase protein family.
