Anti-Acyl-CoA oxidase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACOX1 in humans. The gene may also be known as Acyl-Coenzyme A Oxidase 1, Palmitoyl, ACOX, AOX, acyl-CoA oxidase 1, palmitoyl, peroxisomal acyl-coenzyme A oxidase 1, and PALMCOX. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 74.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
