Anti-CaMK II antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CaMK II antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CAMK2G gene, which encodes calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II gamma. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation and nervous system development, among other biological roles. The human version of CaMK II has a canonical amino acid length of 558 residues and a protein mass of 62.6 kilodaltons, although 11 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CAMK and CAMK-II. Western Blot is the most common application for the CaMK II antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
