Anti-MMP27 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein matrix metallopeptidase 27. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 513 amino acid residues and a mass of 59 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. It is notably expressed in B-cells. A member of the Peptidase M10A protein family, MMP27 is known to be involved with extracellular matrix organization and proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include matrix metalloproteinase-27 and matrix metalloprotease 27. MMP27 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some MMP27 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
