Anti-PTPsigma antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PTPsigma is a known alias name of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type S, encoded by the PTPRS gene in humans. This 1948-amino acid residue protein is a reported cell surface receptor that binds to glycosaminoglycans, including chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans and heparan sulfate proteoglycan. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in peripheral blood plasmacytoid dendritic cells. Indicated applications for PTPsigma antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
