Anti-LRRC16 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LRRC16 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CARMIL1 gene, which encodes capping protein regulator and myosin 1 linker 1. This protein is known to function in cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of LRRC16 has a canonical amino acid length of 1371 residues and a protein mass of 151.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. LRRC16 is a member of the CARMIL protein family.
