Anti-UBE4B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitination factor E4B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1302 amino acid residues and a mass of 146.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in differentiated myotubes. A member of the Ubiquitin conjugation factor E4 protein family, UBE4B is reported to be a ubiquitin-protein ligase that probably functions as an E3 ligase in conjunction with specific E1 and E2 ligases (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include HDNB1, UBOX3, UFD2, UFD2A, ubiquitin conjugation factor E4 B, and E4. UBE4B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of UBE4B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
