Anti-FACL5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FACL5 is a known alias name of the protein acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 5, encoded by the ACSL5 gene in humans. This 683-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the conversion of long-chain fatty acids to their active form acyl-CoAs for both synthesis of cellular lipids, and degradation via beta-oxidation. It is localized to the mitochondria, ER, and cell membrane of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and duodenum. Other synonyms for FACL5 include ACS2, ACS5, and DIAR13. Indicated applications for FACL5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
