Anti-trp2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the trp2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DCT gene, which encodes dopachrome tautomerase. This protein is known to function in epidermis development, among other biological roles. The human version of trp2 has a canonical amino acid length of 519 residues and a protein mass of 59.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in the skin and testis. trp2 is a member of the Tyrosinase protein family.
